Delete your account

This page explains how to delete your Chess Road account and the data associated with it. You can delete your account directly in the app, or by contacting us if you can no longer access the app.

1. Delete in the app (recommended)

Open Chess Road and sign in with the account you want to delete (Google or WeChat).
Open the Me tab at the bottom of the home screen and tap your avatar or nickname.
On the profile page, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
Confirm the prompt. Deletion happens immediately and you are signed out.

The same button is reachable from Settings → account row → profile page.

Deletion is permanent. Your account cannot be restored, and any remaining paid membership time is forfeited.

2. Request deletion by email

If you cannot access the app, email hezhaoyun@outlook.com from the address associated with your account, or tell us the sign-in method you used (Google or WeChat) and your in-app nickname. We may ask for information needed to verify that the account belongs to you, then delete it within 30 days.

3. What is deleted

your account record and profile (nickname, avatar, registration date, settings);
your game records, saved games and study progress stored on our servers;
your puzzle and training achievement data;
your sign-in identities (Google account link, WeChat openid/unionid) stored for this app;
your membership and subscription records held for this app, except records we must keep for accounting, tax or fraud-prevention purposes.

4. What is kept, and for how long

Purchase and payment records are retained as required by tax, accounting and consumer-protection law (generally up to 5 years), and to handle chargebacks or disputes.
A one-way deletion marker (a hashed identifier with no personal details) is retained so that re-registering does not count as a new user for referral rewards.
Aggregated, non-identifying statistics may be retained.

Data stored locally on your device (offline games, downloaded engine files, cached assets) is removed when you uninstall the app. Uninstalling does not delete your server-side account; use one of the methods above for that.

您可以在应用内「我的 → 点头像/昵称进入个人资料 → 页面底部『删除账号』」直接注销账号，注销立即生效且不可恢复（设置 → 账号行进入个人资料也可到达）。若已无法登录应用，可发邮件至 hezhaoyun@outlook.com 申请注销，我们会在核实身份后 30 天内处理。订单与支付记录会按税务、会计及消费者权益保护法规的要求保留（一般不超过 5 年）。
